We are building our Forward Deployed Engineering practice to scale this capability across industries. As Head of Forward Deployed Engineering, you will own the practice: the methodology, the team, the client outcomes, and the growth. You will be the person who defines what it means to be a forward deployed engineer at Vishleshan and builds the team that delivers on that promise.
This is a foundational leadership role at a company betting on FDE as its primary growth engine. You will work at the intersection of enterprise AI, domain expertise, and client delivery. And you will do it inside real client environments, not from a desk.
What you will do
Build and lead Vishleshan's FDE practice from the ground up: methodology, team structure, hiring, and delivery standards
Define and evolve the 90-day production framework that governs every AI deployment Vishleshan takes on
Own the client relationship at the executive level across all active FDE engagements
Work directly inside enterprise environments alongside your team, identifying high-value AI opportunities, designing deployment roadmaps, and ensuring production outcomes
Hire, develop, and grow a team of Managers, Senior FDEs, and FDEs across specialisations and verticals
Collaborate with Vishleshan's product, AI, and platform teams to bring Vidura Agentic Platform and existing capabilities into client environments
Feed real deployment learnings back into Vishleshan's platform development and methodology evolution
Own commercial outcomes for the practice, including client retention, expansion, and new engagement development
What we are looking for
12+ years in enterprise technology delivery, consulting, or professional services
Proven track record building and leading forward deployed, embedded, or professional services engineering teams
Deep understanding of enterprise AI including LLMs, agentic frameworks, RAG pipelines, and production deployment at a hands-on level
Experience owning senior executive client relationships across CTO, CDO, and business leadership stakeholders at large enterprises
Ability to build a practice from the ground up, not just manage an existing team
Strong commercial instinct and an understanding of how deployment success translates to business growth
Experience working across at least two of Vishleshan's core industries: automotive, manufacturing, FMEG, financial services, or supply chain
Nice to have
Prior experience at a forward deployed engineering firm, applied AI consultancy, or enterprise AI company
Familiarity with agentic AI infrastructure and governance including MCP, or similar platforms
Network within India's Fortune 500 enterprise ecosystem
Experience deploying AI in complex legacy enterprise environments with SAP, Oracle, MES, SCADA, or equivalent
