About the role
Vishleshan's Forward Deployed Engineers work inside enterprise client environments, embedded, hands-on and accountable for taking AI from use case to production in 90 days. As the practice grows, we need experienced leaders who can manage multiple concurrent deployments, develop a team of FDEs, and own delivery quality without losing the hands-on edge that makes FDE work.
As Manager of Forward Deployed Engineering, you will lead a team of Senior FDEs and FDEs across active client engagements. You will be close enough to the work to catch problems early and senior enough to make the calls that keep deployments on track. This is not a purely administrative role. You will be inside client environments alongside your team, doing the work and setting the standard.
What you will do
Manage a team of Senior FDEs and FDEs across multiple concurrent enterprise AI deployments
Own delivery quality and the 90-day production commitment across your portfolio of engagements
Work directly inside client environments alongside your team
Identify delivery risks early and resolve or escalate before they impact outcomes
Coach and develop FDEs on technical depth, client communication, and deployment craft
Own mid-senior client relationships across technology and business stakeholders
Collaborate with the Head of FDE on methodology, tooling, and practice development
Contribute to hiring, identifying and evaluating FDE talent as the team scales
What we are looking for
6-9 years in enterprise technology delivery, professional services, or technical consulting
Experience managing embedded or client-facing engineering teams who work inside client environments
Hands-on background in AI, ML, or enterprise systems integration at a level where you can review technical work and make calls
Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements without dropping quality
Comfortable operating at both technical and business stakeholder levels inside large enterprise environments
Experience with LLMs, agentic frameworks, or enterprise AI deployment
Nice to have
Prior experience in a forward deployed engineering, applied AI, or embedded consulting role
Domain knowledge in automotive, manufacturing, FMEG, or financial services
Experience integrating AI with SAP, ERP, MES, CRM, or legacy enterprise systems
